There is far more activity over on the discord rather than on the forum where posts are few and far between ^.^ http://www.dothack.org/blogs/entry/817-dothack-discord/
Erroneous
Most of the efforts of this community in general was posted and focused strictly on Facebook where we began in Nov 2012. As time passes, the restrictions and limitations of Facebook became apparent and problematic. We were news and a hub of information and directory of other dothack communities out there.. remaining. We needed a means to preserve the old and remaining sites and hosted our own site that had archived pages of other dothack communities. In addition we needed organization for files we hosted that are still downloaded today i.e. the English fragment area server and the lobby checker. As for activity and participation, we had started a Facebook Group that allowed members to contribute discussions and information. But it was cluttered and easy to loose discussions with those that ranked higher. As time passed again, Facebook became the center of many controversies. Some snowballed slowly while others more quickly and then the #deletefacebook trend happened. During these times of minor and major mishaps with the Facebook platform, we revived our messenger community from the dead Skype group to the trending Discord chat. There we had the ability to categorize sections and group people based on their needs. Forums are not as successful compared to social media networks and platforms or on messenger apps, so it's quite hard to bring back people to a forum like this and stay engaged compared to Facebook, Twitter, Reddit or Skype, Discord, Telegram and the like.
