  1. Hello everyone. First of all, I'd like to say that I'm sorry it's taken me this long to post anything here. I got pretty busy the past couple of weeks between Christmas, working on my first iPhone app, and of course school work. So anyway, I now have something to show. Here is a video of the Chaos Gate system, that works 100% already.(you can add new areas to the chaos gate on the fly, without having to restart the server or anyone needing to update their game) Within the next couple days most likely, I'll be releasing a client out to everyone that has access to these staff forums only. At the time when I do that, their won't be many maps most likely. Just enough for you all to be able to test the features of the game out, and nothing more.   2. 5-13-09 Finished programming the majority of the Updater, just want to try to add two other things. These two things do not HAVE to happen, but I'd like them to happen before the first release... Finished PhotoShopping the GUI for the Updater. Finished PhotoShopping the GUI for the Main Menu. Mapped all of the Hulle Granz Cathedral. This top is now open for people to discuss progress and stuff...
  3. 5-13-09 Still working on all the GUI for the game. Majority of it is now done... Working on adding a extra function to the Updater. Trying to get a Web Viewer to work on the Main Menu for The World, so then the updates/news/current events of The World can be displayed in a pretty format. Working on getting everything completely set up for the first Alpha release of The World.

  5. 4-18-09 Getting rid of the code that cuts your experience gain by half if your in a party. Working on a system that gives you a certain amount of EXP based on your level, and the monster's level. This will take awhile most likely, so it's a long-term goal. Completely redoing the UI of game engine Client. Then I'll work on the graphics and make a GUI.(this is my main thing, but will probably take a good bit of time)
  6. 4-17-09 Successfully redid the entire level up code to fit .hack// more. Successfully got rid of the stat point system and implemented a system that fits .hack// better.

I've decided that I will make a development log for my work on The World: Fragments so you all know what I'm doing and how the project is going. ^^ 4-17-09 Currently redoing the entire level up code to make it more like the original .hack// games. Getting rid of useless code. Securing already known hacking holes. Fixing up the server code heavily. Fixing already known errors. Getting rid of the code that cuts your experience gain by half if your in a party. Thinking about redoing the experience gain code so it maxes out at 520exp gained, like the original .hack// games. Mainly right now I'm doing all the coding I need to... ^^ I might have another update for you all later today.
  8. Well...I've been working on a 3D The World project for a few weeks now. Prior to this I would just building my skills so I could be successful. Up till now I've been programming mainly, and now I've started getting into the visual parts of the game. Such as models and textures. Now I have a bit to show for my work. http://www.vimeo.com/2326315 I've only been modeling for the game for the past 2 days. I'm always looking for more modelers, animators, and texturers. I've got the programming down though.
