      .hack was born as a multimedia project, in which a story was proposed through a TV series, a video game, an OVA saga and, of course, a manga. Each format reveals a different piece of the plot. The general story is set in the year 2007, after the computer world has recovered from a virus that completely destroyed the Internet.
