It is currently the last day of May for 2018 and we are here to share to you some new updates!
In the realm of dothack news, nothing new has come from CyberConnect2 or BandaiNamco regarding new series or releases as of yet, .hack//G.U. Last Recode is still the last in the franchise to been released. However in terms of merchandising, quite a few new content has been released or will be released. Those who ordered their Haseo figurarts from Japan had received them throughout the month. If you had ordered the four fanbooks that released last year, there was special instructions on how to obtain the 5th volume. The 5th volume unlike the previous four was not for sale directly and required proof of purchase. It has been reported that volume five has been shipped and even some reports that people are receiving them already. The CC2 store has released an all new Haseo Omega B-st Form art plate this week. The English public relations side of CC2 has announced their interest in fans of .hack// to contact them to share what makes you a Super Fan!
Dothack Network News!
Earlier this month we made a decision and announced the need to raise money to acquire a once in a lifetime opportunity to obtain the production notes from the .hack//LIMINALITY localization back in 2002. With the aide of two generous donators Jeremie and Manuel, we reached that goal and have begun contacting the owners of the estate of former director of the localization Kevin Seymour. Once we've obtain this package, you can count on us to scan the pages and release the contents back to you the fans for your viewing pleasure. In addition, this next month June we will host yet another giveaway for the rare .hack//ENEMY trading card game uncut sheets. If you are unfamiliar of what an uncut sheet is, trading cards are printed from large printers on one sheet and after being printed on both sides get cut into the standard palm size you are familiar with. On a few occasions these sheets don't get cut for events, promotions, and to the people who helped work on them. Earlier last year we started off with 12 sheets, now we are down to 2 left. Follow us on social media or our website to learn the details of the next giveaway in early June 2018. We also like to welcome Rekka to the Discord moderation team, she's been a strong member of the community giving us insight what's been going on live at the events in Japan and sharing her love of the series with other fans and collectors.
AzureZhen continues to update The World R:Craft, a free to play .hack Minecraft themed game. In the latest update, he shares weapons models from the GU series playable in game. Xithyl Kykorl has gone through great length's at translating the Table Top RPG game called .hack//Infinite Generation, that was published in Kadokawa Shoten's ".hack//TheWorld" magazine volume's 2 and 3. This game and rules can be found on our wikipedia we host, not to be confused with the long standing .hack wikia page. Zaren and Tyrial share more development photo's of their The World R:2 3d MMO game they've been developing. Des Shinta catalog's on how he replicated the sword from .hack//G.U. Last Recode's 4th volume The Gate of Ouroboros. Juan Zaragoza shows the progress of an upcoming Kite cosplay. And fan favorite SMZeldarules shares updates to her .hack//Root's meetup. We also meet some new live streamers such as Shinjukuo and LovelessXSpirit.
And lastly, we'd like to share our reach of fans across all our networks as of May 31st 2018.

Xithyl Kykorl, a community developer on our Discord chatroom, had been working to translate the Tabletop RPG game .hack//Infinite Generation as seen in the magazine .hack//TheWorld 02, a three part one shot magazine published by Kadokawa Shouten in 2003. The TRPG was meant to be played with up to 5 people and and your everyday d6 (6-sided dice). Create your own characters and share your stories your team went on. Extra props if you record your adventures for the world to see! #dothack #dothackers #dothacksign #dothackimoq #theworld #wiki #discord #trpg #rpg #game
We've recently came across the family of Kevin Seymour, director for the localization/translation of the bundled .hack//LIMINALITY OVA, who had gone through his estate and sell off his notes and all the documentation that went into the production of the localization. Things like the line reads for the voice actors, payments made to the voice actor talent, communication and emails between the companies involved in the rights/licensing on how they wanted their IP's handled, translation notes of original text and adjustments for English audiences. They are willing to sell off everything for $199 USD. Now this may end up being sold, to hopefully someone who is a fan of the franchise, or it may end up being sold to someone who doesn't recognize the series, or worse that it may end up be thrown out. We hope it may end in the hands of a genuine fan of the series but in the case it doesn't, we'd like a chance of obtaining this rare piece of .hack history and to share it back to everyone in the community.
We at Dothack Network are a hub that helps point fans towards related projects relevant to their interests i.e. playing .hack//fragment, playing a The World themed Minecraft game, playing in worlds modeled after The World in VRChat, playing with other role-players, meeting other cosplayers, sharing arts, etc.... We have no capital or assets other than building and maintaining this community and linking everyone and everything together. Thus we need your help in reaching a goal of $199 USD to obtain this piece of .hack history.
If we are able to acquire these documentations, you can expect us to share it with you the fans and the community. Scans of each document, video's going through the works, and acknowledgement to those that help us bringing this back to the community. Any amount helps, even a $1 USD will get us closer. So if you are able to aide in this fundraiser, we thank you wholeheartedly and hope to show you something amazing, new, and exciting!
You can donate here by clicking this link.
Below are pictures of some of the documents the family has provided.
